Thank you all for praying for Keith's eye surgery yesterday. It did not take long and he wasn't "put out" and was able to drive home. He just had a little eye discomfort and a headache. Dr. Chou explained that an area of Keith's eye is dying so the laser procedure "killed" that area of his eye so the blood flow would not be necessary which will enable the bleeding to stop. Keith said this morning that if he had to judge how successful the surgery was by how he is able to see then it would not have been successful; however, Dr. Chou said that it would take a number of months before the body is able to clear out the blood in the eye and his sight restored more back to normal. He is back to work today and I know he would appreciate your continued prayers for healing.
Sarah is having difficulty again. Trying to help me with supper -- just putting a pan of chicken legs in the oven -- put her sacroiliac out again last week so she is hurting. She is continuing with her chiropractor and physical therapist and we have purchased a new mattress for her and trust that will help.
There have been several who have e-mailed us and are concerned that Satan is using these various health issues to hinder our service for the Lord. We have thought that as well and ask you to pray that His efforts would be defeated by Christ and His finished work on the cross and that the Lord would receive all the honor and glory to Himself. We know the Lord will not let any of this suffering in this life be in vain. Do pray for a breakthrough! There are so many things that our hearts desire to do for the Lord.
How we praise the Lord for the encouragement that we have received in how the Lord continues to use what we have already done with the radio programs and literature. One pastor recently wrote that he is using Keith's booklet on "The Names of God in the Old Testament" as one of his sources for study with his Sunday morning messages. We spoke to a couple from Trinidad on the phone the other day who expressed their thanks for Keith's radio programs and the literature that they are able to download from our webpage.
We thank the Lord for each of you who take the time to pray for us and have written to encourage us. May the Lord use you mightily for His glory each and every day.
